On 3 August, Year 8 students stepped beyond the classroom to experience Japanese culture through an engaging afternoon of hands-on activities and performances.
Students took part in a karate workshop, enjoyed a dynamic taiko drumming performance and tested their knowledge through a Kahoot quiz exploring Japanese history and culture. They also heard from students who had participated in the Japan Study Tour, gaining a firsthand insight into the experience.
Two musical performances added to the atmosphere, featuring Merry-Go-Round of Life from Howl’s Moving Castle and the iconic Super Mario theme. Diego A. (Year 8) described the afternoon as a fun and memorable opportunity to experience and appreciate Japanese culture.
