King’s Pimpama chess students enjoyed an outstanding day at the Gold Coast Primary North Interschool Chess Tournament. With just shy of 100 students competing from Prep to Year 6, our players produced fantastic results across all five divisions.

A Division: 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place Teams
B Division: 1st Place Team
C Division: 1st and 3rd Place Teams
D Division: 2nd Place Team
E Division: 1st Place Team
Individual honours included Asher L.K. taking 1st place in A Division, alongside podium finishes for James H., Bennie V., Joonhu A. and Aryan G. Many other King’s students were also recognised with Merit Ribbons across the divisions.
A special mention goes to Micah L.K. (Prep), who stepped up to compete in C Division against much older students and achieved an incredible 4.5 points from seven games. It was an amazing achievement at such a young age.
Congratulations to every student who represented King’s with focus, perseverance and wonderful sportsmanship. We are incredibly proud of the way our players challenged themselves and supported one another throughout the competition.
