This term, LIFE Team chose to run the King’s Charity Match to support 100% HOPE, a school in Uganda that helps students access education, safe housing, and opportunities for their future. In LIFE Team, we wanted to create a fun event that also made a real difference.
Hosting a football match was a way for our school to come together, raise money, and show support for students in Uganda. It was a chance for us to live out generosity and help 100% HOPE continue their amazing works. The reason behind hosting the football charity match was mainly due to the World Cup being hosted this year, we believed that through the World Cup event we could raise a lot of money for the 100% Hope campaign, which we succeeded.
The fundraiser had a great impact on the school community as well as the huge impact for fundraising for 100% Hope, for starters our high school community were able to come together and watch a mini world cup match happen on our grounds and have a great time with friends and teachers. The fundraiser allowed us to raise a lot of money, which all went to the 100% Hope campaign to make kids who are less fortunate than us have an opportunity to be supported and live as a normal school kid without all the struggles.
We would also like to say a massive thank you, for all the participating students and teachers who played or were watching on the sidelines for coming and supporting this event, this wouldn’t have been a massive success without you.
