Three King’s Pimpama teams competed across two days at the INFQ Indoor Netball Carnival at Gold Coast Indoor Sport in Ashmore during Week 6: two Year 7 and 8 mixed teams and one Year 9 and 10 girls team.
This was the first time King’s entered mixed teams in the Year 7 and 8 competition. Both teams recorded strong wins and displayed excellent sportsmanship before meeting in the semifinal. King’s Yellow progressed to the grand final against Pacific Pines State High School and finished runner-up after a close three-point loss, while King’s Navy placed fourth.
AJ B. (Year 8) was named Player of the Grand Final after an impressive performance for King’s Yellow.
Our Year 9 and 10 girls team, made up mainly of Year 9 students, also competed strongly throughout the carnival. Their campaign ended in a one-point semifinal loss to Helensvale, a result that reflected just how competitive the team had been.

Regional Athletics Team Competes With Pride
A record group represented King’s across three days of Regional Athletics, with eight athletes also earning selection in the South Coast team.
Year 10 Japanese Students Wrap Up Cultural Learning
An online workshop with the Japan Foundation introduced Year 10 Japanese students to furoshiki, traditional wrapping techniques and practical language use.
