King’s Skipperoos delivered an outstanding performance at the 2026 Queensland State Championships, held at Cornubia Sports Centre. This year, 22 athletes represented the team across a range of speed, freestyle, relay, and Double Dutch events.
The team was coached by Jasmine Hawkins, with valuable support from high school student-coaches Zoe M. and Cindy X. Their leadership, encouragement, and technical guidance helped athletes compete with confidence throughout the event.
A special congratulations goes to the athletes who broke four Australian records:
TJ L. – 30 second speed sprint
J L. – 1 minute speed endurance
Kokoa A. T. and TJ L. – 2 x 30 second speed relay
Jasmine H. – 4 x 30 second speed relay
Following this successful championship, 15 athletes will continue training as they prepare for the National Championships in Darwin this September.
We are incredibly proud of all our athletes for their dedication, teamwork, and commitment, and we look forward to seeing them continue to grow and represent King’s Skipperoos on the national stage.
