Year 10 KTTC students are gaining valuable real-world skills while on work experience the last two weeks. This has allowed them to explore potential career pathways and develop practical knowledge outside the classroom.
During this time, students have had the opportunity to work alongside qualified tradespeople in industries such as construction, automotive, hospitality, electrical and more. This hands-on experience has helped them understand workplace expectations, safety procedures, and the importance of teamwork, communication, and time management.
Work experience this term as allowed students to build confidence and independence as they navigate new environments and responsibilities. By applying what they have learned in their trade courses to real-life situations, students have seen the relevance of their studies and allowed them to make informed decisions about their future careers.
Overall, this experience has been an important step in helping Year 10 trade students transition from school into the workforce or further vocational training. Well done Year 10!
