Year 1 Students Become Scientists for a Day

Pimpama

In science, students in Year 1 have been learning about the changes that occur when different materials are mixed together. With their peers from King's Logan Village, our young scientists' learning came to life last week at an incursion run by Street Science.

Creating their very own bouncy balls, our students loved mixing the materials and observing the chemical reactions first-hand. The students were filled with giggles and awe from the energy of the presenters who demonstrated a range of science experiments including a huge dry ice cloud, elephant toothpaste and an exploding balloon.

The comment of the day was “This is the best day ever!
