2022 Chess Success + Upcoming Events

King's Chess has celebrated another incredible year on the boards, from our High School Girl's Chess Team taking out 1st place in Queensland and having the opportunity to represent King’s at the Australian Schools Teams Chess Championships in Cairns, to many other successful Chess Tournaments throughout the year. This year has seen over 1,080 King's students compete during specialist class lessons, 458 QLD Junior rated players, 318 represent at regional level, 16 represent at State level and four at Nationals! Our committed Chess Coordinators, Mr Evans and Mr Cooke, wish to thank the school community for supporting chess throughout the year and they look forward to another competitive 2023, representing King's in chess.
