Anzac Commemorations

Logan Village

Our College held an Anzac Commemoration Service to honour the men and women who gave their lives for our freedom and peace.

Our College held a commemorative Anzac ceremony on Monday 24 April, ahead of Anzac Day this year. The solemn service encouraged King's students and staff to reflect on the great legacy we have received by the incredible sacrifice of the courageous men and women who gave their lives in battle for our freedom. We were blessed to have Mrs Kerry Menke from Logan Village RSL in attendance as one of our guest speakers along with representatives from the King's Christian College Board, King's Church, Noah's Ark, Primary and parents from our King's Community.

Flowers and wreaths were laid by our special guests and our students as a way to remember those who have lost their lives serving Australia in wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations.

We will remember them. Lest we forget.

"My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. This is my command: Love each other."
