Creative by Design 2022
CREATIVE BY DESIGN (CbD) first launched at our College in 2006 and has become one of our favourite weeks of the year in King's Primary. Our 2022 event was themed 'God the Maker' and it started on Monday, 12 September, with a captivating Laser Show. This mini 'conference' is a unique time in the school calendar where our students pause from their normal timetable to enjoy activities that are centred around creativity and design. CbD gives the time and space to reflect on the magnitude of God's divine design in creating humankind and the natural world we live in. The program provides students with an outlet for their God-given gifts and talents and this year's exciting schedule included lively Chapels, King's Has Talent finals, silent discos, a workshop with chalk artist Anthony Pieters, art masterclasses, guest Author/ Illustrator Nikki Rogers, BrickBuilders (Lego) challenges, a Colour Run, and more!
Our Primary community all enjoyed growing their creative capacity and their relationship with God throughout our 2022 CbD week. Thank you to our Chaplaincy team, led by Mr Malcolm, and our Primary Coordinators, for organising such an unforgettable week for our students!
2022 Colour Run
CbD ended with a bang on Thursday, 15 September, as pops of brightly-coloured powder burst into the sky for our Colour Run fun. With bright smiles on their faces and even brighter colours on their CbD shirts, our primary students crossed the finish line of the Colour Run track with many memories of a fantastic week.
CBD Art Competition
Once again this year, King's Art Department ran a competition for CBD week with the theme 'God the Maker' and the purpose of encouraging students to practise their artistic skills in any medium of their choice. There were many impressive entries, making it a tough decision for this year's judges.

King's Has Talent Competition
One of the highlights of our Creative By Design week was the finals of King’s Has Talent, which were held on the last day of Term 3. The performers displayed an outstanding level of skill, dedication, confidence, and commitment. Their God-given talents were on full display for our school community, and their peers cheered loudly and proudly during each of our auditions, semi-finals and finals. Congratulations to all of our finalists, who received a certificate and voucher to enjoy over the upcoming holidays.
