Focus Film Showcase and Awards 2023
King’s were excited to hold our second annual Focus Film Showcase and Awards event following its successful launch in 2022. The event showcased the outstanding productions of our senior students to an audience of parents and friends. We were also fortunate to have professional actor Joe Davidson attend and share his insights from the film industry. Joe had starred in films Sons of Summer and Anyone But You, and our guests enjoyed hearing about his experiences. Special thanks to Mrs Heather Angus and Mrs Natalie Kelso, who coordinated the event and helped make it possible. Focus ran like a conventional Film Award ceremony and showed highlights of the 11 nominated films, followed by the winner's announcement for each category. Congratulations to our 2023 winners:

- Best Documentary: Ava Moes, Lena Puze & Olivia Lister with their film ‘Becoming’
- Best 1-minute Short Film: Isaiah Saniel with his film ‘Lights Out’
- Best Genre Narrative: Zoe Bray with her film ‘One Breath Away’
- Year 12 Program - Category 1: Isabella Goldring with her film ‘In Silence Sealed’
- Year 12 Program - Category 2: Isabella Goldring with her film ‘Reminisce’
- Inaugural Head of Department Award: Jaiden Durman with his film ‘Coded’
