Genesis Christian College visit King’s
The King’s choirs and orchestras are developing well under the guidance of their teachers. Opportunities for public performances are an important aspect of learning new skills and repertoire. Having the opportunity to be in the audience and observe other people performing is quite beneficial and inspiring.
In providing an opportunity for the students to watch performances, King’s was blessed with a visit from Genesis Christian College Music department on 12 August. Students in Years 3, 4 and 5 were entertained by their senior school choir and the Genesis Chamber Orchestra, both performing several pieces. Solos and duets on flute, clarinet and violin were also presented. The students thoroughly enjoyed the performances and were inspired to get involved in learning Music, or to continue on their learning journey.
The Genesis Show Choir concluded the concert and presented a very dynamic performance of ‘Welcome to the 60’s’ from the musical Hairspray, leaving the audience singing their way out of the auditorium.
Thank you Genesis Christina College for sharing your talents and love of music, and for inspiring our own budding musicians.
