Grandparent's Day 2022

One of our favourite days of the year in Primary School is Grandparents' Day. We were very excited to have this event return in 2022 and welcome our beloved grandparents to school on Friday, 5 August. It was an honour to have such a great response from our King's grandparent community, with over 700 special guests attending throughout the day, from Kindy up to Year 6. Our students were visibly pleased to welcome their Nanas, Poppas, Grandmas and Grandads into their classrooms, where they spent time together enjoying interactive activities such as mini golf, Kahoot quizzes, chess, card games, crafts, and more. It was heartwarming to see so many hugs and smiles, and grandparents poring over the students' school work and achievements. Many of our grandparents also joined us afterwards for morning tea at the King's Table where they enjoyed meeting other grandparents and King's staff, and hearing some lovely performances from our Primary choirs.
