It's Rocket Science
Year 4 students had great fun, and learning experiences on Tuesday 4 May, when they launched bottle rockets into outer space!
During the incursion, students explored the interaction of forces, direction of motion and gravity, with the effects of friction when exerted on things that fly. Students put together their own bottle rocket build, where they then launched and measured the thrust (push force) on each launch of their bottle rocket.
One fun fact they learnt was that we are in fact closer to outer space than we are to Noosa!
Lots of fun was had by all!
