A number of King’s outstanding athletes showcased their exceptional athletic abilities at the National Athletics Competition held at the Queensland Sport and Athletics Centre (QSAC) in mid-April. Our athletes competed against the country's finest, leaving a lasting impression with their remarkable achievements, with particular mentions to Nylah Goble-Lote for collecting two Gold medals for Hammer and Shot Put, Alyssa McDonald – Silver in 200m hurdles, Charlee Vincent – Silver - in the 100m and Gold in the 4x100m, and Joseph Lethlean – Silver in the 2000m Steeple event.

The student's participation in the prestigious event followed their successful qualification through the State Club championships, where they displayed outstanding skills and determination. Our athletes' stellar performances in the regional qualifiers paved the way for their participation in the highly- anticipated national event.

As the National Athletics Competition concluded, the focus is now shifting towards the upcoming School Athletics season, later this term. With their impressive accomplishments at the national level, our athletes are expected to carry their momentum forward into their next competitions. Together we celebrate the accomplishments of all of our athletes and eagerly await an exciting School Athletics season ahead.
