King's Volleyball Success in 2022

Intermediate Schools Cup (ISC)

The ISC is a three day, school-based volleyball competition where schools from across Queensland travel to Toowoomba each year in May, to compete for the Queensland State Title. King’s entered four teams in this year's tournament for the first time, representing the most teams King's has had competing in a State level competition at once. Our teams achieved outstanding results and all of our players learned and improvised both on and off the court. 2022 was also the first time a team has entered into Year 10 honours and our boys stepped up to the challenge and played hard to the very end, challenging every team in close five-setter matches. All King's teams were commended and honoured for their sportsmanship and honesty that they displayed on and off the court and have made the College very proud.

Queensland Junior State Championships

The Junior State Champs is an annual, two-day, volleyball competition that allowed schools to enter teams (previously a club-only event) for the first time in 2022. King's entered two teams into this tournament and was a great opportunity for our King's team to gain further tournament experience and represent our College. Both King's teams played hard throughout the tournament and came home with medals. Our U17 Boys team were undefeated throughout the entire tournament, beating every club team they faced. Our U15 Girls had a tough competition and fought hard to win their Bronze medal match.
