King's Dancers Shine at State Competition
King's proudly showcased some of our exceptional senior dancers at the Regional Rounds of the Dance Exchange (Dance X) competition in July. The four regional events attracted hundreds of remarkable dancers from schools across Queensland, and the top five dancers/ groups from each category then qualified for the State Competition. King's dancers displayed remarkable talent at the regionals and secured spots to progress in four sections. The Dance X State competition was held at All Hallows School in Brisbane from 14 - 15 October, 2023, and it was an incredible performance showcase. Congratulations to Sammie Penman and Kahlyiah Clarke-Teika (Year 9) who won first place in the duo/ trio section for their high-energy dance that they had choreographed themselves. Well done to Nisha Hanson (Year 8) who gave an exciting contemporary performance in the solo section and successfully received second place. Our heartfelt congratulations to our talented dancers and their teacher, Mrs Ellia Davis, for such incredible success this year.
