King's Golf Day Showcased Up and Coming Talent
The King's Golf Day was a sold-out event of 120 players who showcased skill, sportsmanship and a sense of community at this very popular event on the King's calendar. The golfers, who varied in age and skill levels, enjoyed a remarkable day at The Club at Parkwood.

Our youngest play was Jamie Yoon who is in Prep at King's Pimpama and he has his young eyes on the golfing prize in future years. Reedy Creek campus, Pimpama Primary and High School students also shone on the day with their competitive sporting edge as they helped their teams claim some of the top prizes that were on offer at the event.
These included $2500 of JB Hifi vouchers and prizes, golf bags, Springbok Food hampers, Calloway sports pack, rounds of golf, mini golf and Topgolf Swing Suite vouchers from The Club at Parkwood that were up for grabs for the winning teams, as well as a Nespresso machine from King's Pimpama P&F and an array of prizes from JB Hifi, Athletes Foot, Spyder Displays, and King's Christian College, made for some very happy golfers who got to take these wonderful prizes home to their families.

The course, which King's had exclusive use of, was beautifully manicured and perfect weather added to the atmosphere among the players. Before the teams teed off in the morning sun, they enjoyed a delicious bacon and egg roll and were briefed by the club. Players jumped into their golf buggies for 18 holes of friendly, yet serious, game of golf based on the Ambrose format.

The competition was high among many of the King's staff from the various campuses as well as parents and businessmen who have supported the event since its inception three years ago.
The title for the best-dressed team was won once again by team Who's Your Caddy (Kylie Fitzgerald, Allegra and Carter Hayden - Year 12 at Reedy Creek, and Shonel Alloway) who rode onto the greens as Cowboys and Cowgirls and then took home top honours claiming first team prize with an Ambrose score of 44.
