King’s Siblings Make Waves in Barefoot Waterskiing

The 2023 Barefoot Waterskiing Season saw remarkable achievements for Zohie Duncan (Year 12) and her younger brother Toby (Year 11). Toby's journey commenced with his exceptional performance at the Oceanic Championships in Mulwala, Vic, where he clinched a Silver medal for Tricks and contributed to the Australian Team's Gold medal. Later, both siblings represented Australia at the 2023 Barefoot World Championship Tournament, with Toby securing 7th place in Slalom and 6th place in Jump, earning a Silver medal for the Junior Australian Team. Zohie also displayed her prowess, securing commendable positions in Slalom, Trick, and the Overall Junior Girl category.

Following their international success, the duo continued their winning streak at the QLD Barefoot State Championships and the subsequent National Championships. Toby defended his Junior Boys Title and dominated the podium with Golds in Tricks, Slalom, and Jump, while Zohie claimed the Overall Under 23 Women Champion title along with Gold medals in Trick and Slalom. Their outstanding achievements are a testament to their relentless training and unwavering dedication and our school community congratulates these two skiing stars for their impressive success.
