Learning About Life on the Farm
Things got wild in Year 1 this week with our annual visit to Paradise Country! Students immersed themselves in farm life and learned about the needs of living things. We got to see the newest arrivals on the farm including a 5-day-old baby goat at the nursery and snuggle some cute kangaroos. For those feeling brave enough, there was a snake to pet and a few lucky teachers got to hold a koala! There was a stockman show that taught us all about how farmers use dogs to assist with herding and how they care for the cattle. This trip is always a highlight for year one students because it’s true what they say; animals and kids make the best of friends!
