Lunchtime Interhouse Activity Finals

Week 8, Term 2, led our tinball lunchtime competition into our finals rounds. With our first semi-final between Newton and Rayleigh. Rayleigh started off strong with a clean sweep in the first round. In the second round, Newton struck back and took the win but Rayleigh managed to sneak in with a bonus point. All Rayleigh needed to win and progress through to the Grand final was a bonus point in round 3. However, Newton had their own plan and managed to clinch the win and the bonus point in the final round to take the lead and progress through to the Grand final in week 9. In the second semi-final, Finney the season's dominant team continued their winning streak by defeating Tyndale 8-1 in their 3-round match. Finals day arrived and the spirit was high. Finney, the favourite to win but Newton was not ready to give in just yet. The final started with a bang with Finney coming out strong but Newton was hot on their heels and managed to claim all the bonus points for the match. However, Finney was too strong in the end. Finney came out victorious winning 6-3 and claiming the tinball championship. 

In Term 3, we will be kicking off our volleyball world cup competition where students will make their own teams and battle it out to come out on top and make the finals at the end of the term.
