New Primary Building Update | August 2022

Campus News

Construction on our new Primary learning precinct has been progressing steadily over the past two terms, and despite wet weather and material supply delays in the early stages, we are on track for the scheduled completion date. This week marked a milestone in the project, with the installation of the building’s extensive roof. This will significantly reduce the impact of rain on the continued construction of the building, allowing the ground floor plaster fit-out to progress from next week.

We often have more than 30 contractors onsite each day including roofers, carpenters, plumbers, electricians, security monitoring, mechanics, metal workers and concreters, to name a few. This busy construction site has already seen the first-floor internal framing completed, the aluminium windows and doors installed throughout the building, the ground-floor internal framing nearly completed, and the external brick cladding started this week. We have also ordered all of the classroom furniture and specialist equipment to ensure it arrives when the new learning space is ready to be furnished in early December, for the start of classes in 2023.

We look forward to opening this exciting precinct and seeing our primary students benefiting from their innovative new learning space, which will feature:

  • Five modern Year 3 classrooms
  • A fully-equipped art studio
  • An undercover outdoor play zone
  • Specialist learning spaces
  • An innovation hub
  • Primary reception

We appreciate your ongoing support as we build together for tomorrow’s generation of Christian leaders!
