Performing Arts Students Attend Hamilton

Pimpama

On Wednesday, April 19, the high school Performing and Creative Art subjects were fortunate enough to take 35 students to watch the musical which is taking the world by storm,  Hamilton. We travelled to Southbank together by bus and had dinner before we were able to take our seats and immerse ourselves in the breathtaking and fast-paced historical masterpiece. We are so fortunate that as a school we get to partake in excursions like this, which only enrich our students and immerse them in culture. Watching live theatre opens our students up to experiencing different perspectives that they may not be aware of or contemplated. Theatre’s way of exploring and expressing dialogue, monologue and character allows an audience to view situations and perspectives with empathy. Understanding and viewing theatre helps us understand what it means to be human and live the human experience.
