Years 3 - 6 Co-curricular Honours

Primary

On Friday, 3 September, King's Upper Primary community gathered for a special Honours assembly dedicated to presenting our Years 3 - 6 Co-curricular Honours Awards for Term 3. The awards recognised the exceptional success of our students in Chess and Eisteddfods over the past term, and it was great to see so many recipient's parents attend. Mr Meyers gave an encouraging speech to the audience about success, reminding them that success is not defined by how the world tries to define it - by the number of achievements and awards. Rather, success should be measured in the following ways, he said:

Success is:

  • Always doing your best (Ecclesiastes 9:10)
  • Having a growth mindset (Philippians 4:8)
  • Being grateful for all the good in your life (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
  • Overcoming fear (Isaiah 41:10)
  • Learning something new each day (Psalms 32:8)
  • Loving and being loved back (Philippians 2:3)
  • Not giving up - perseverance (2 Chronicles 15:7)
  • Not letting obstacles hold you back (Romans 8:37)

Congratulations to all the award recipients on your remarkable achievements and to Tyndale who were announced as leading the Primary School House points tally at the end of Term 3 with 12,666 points!

Congratulations Awardees
