Primary's Grand Finale FUNdraiser

Chaplaincy

At King's, we love any opportunity to strengthen our community, bring joy to our students and to help those less fortunate, and our Primary School Christmas-themed FUNdraiser achieved all three! On Friday, 4 November, the Amphitheatre precinct was filled with all things merry and bright as our Prep - Year 6 students came to school wearing their Christmas costumes and sharing their festive spirits, to raise funds for King's Care Christmas Hamper Project. King's Care is the outreach of King's Church, and it helps many people every week of the year with food relief and vital services. At Christmas time, their beautiful food hampers are given to struggling families across the Gold Coast. Our grand finale LIFE Canteen event for 2022 included a Christmas treats competition, 'best-dressed' awards, a live concert of Primary choirs and dance troupes, larger-than-life decorations and a lunchtime sausage sizzle. Thanks to our generous Primary School community – parents, staff and students – we sold out of baked goods and sausages, and raised records funds for King’s Care to help even more families this Christmas. Special thanks to our Primary School LIFE team whose dedication of time and talents throughout 2022 has made our fundraising efforts possible. It’s amazing what the power of kindness can do!

Christmas Treats Competition

The day before our Festival event, our Primary families filled the Hub with a large assortment of incredible baked goodies for our Christmas Treat Competition. Our panel of judges perused over the creative array of entries, and found it very difficult to pick the winners. The treats were then sold to staff and students during the lunchtime event on Friday to help with our fundraising efforts. Thank you Primary families for your generous contributions!
