Sister Act Athletes

Sister Act athletes, Jalyn and Koa South, (in Year 8 and Year 5 respectively) represented South Coast at the QLD Schools Athletics Championships recently.

Koa competed in the 10 years Tetrathlon ( 4 events 100m, 800m, Shot Put, Long Jump) where she finished 9th in Queensland. 

Her sister, Jalyn competed in the 13 years Discus, Hammer Throw and Javelin events. She threw an incredible 5m Personal Best of 42.42m to finish with a Gold Medal in the Javelin competition crowning her as the 2022 13 years Girl Queensland Champion. She finished in the 10th spot in Queensland in the discus event.d

Jalyn will now represent Queensland at the Australian All Schools Athletics Championships in Adelaide on December 9.  We wish her all the very best in this competition.
