Spanish Dance Troupe Shines in Vibrant Show

Primary

On Wednesday, 7 June, the Year 5 and 6 Girls' Spanish Dance Club took centre stage in the Auditorium, captivating their peers and parents with a vibrant demonstration of their newly-acquired skills. The girls had been eagerly learning the art of the 'Salsa' dance every Wednesday during their second break since the start of the year, and their hard work was evident during the spectacular show. For many of our young dancers, it was their first time performing on stage in front of an audience, and they displayed King’s Values of courage and perseverance.

As the music began, the girls gracefully moved across the stage, executing the complex steps of Salsa. Their coordination and enthusiasm was truly commendable. Following their performance, Mrs Savvides had a surprise in store for everyone. She invited teachers and parents on stage for a mini salsa lesson and the room was filled with excitement and laughter as the volunteer dancers moved to the latin music.

The Year 5 and 6 Girls' Spanish Dance Club demonstrated not only their commitment to learning but also their ability to bring people together through the universal language of dance.  The girls should be commended for their performance and enthusiasm and courage they showed that served as an inspiration to their peers and parents alike. It was a truly memorable morning, filled with laughter, music, and the joy of dancing.

"Thank you to all the girls who have been part of this dance group, as it's been a delight to teach you!"
