Swimming Event Inspires Young Swimmer

Pimpama

Year 7 student, Mystiqrayne Harrison, qualified to attend the 2022 South Australian Short Course Swimming State Championships recently, and wow what an amazing event it was for this young swimmer who improved on most of her races.

Mystiqrayne competed in four events at the South Australia meet, namely the 50m Freestyle, 50m Backstroke, 100m Backstroke and 100m Individual Medley.  She did three Personal Best times from the four events.

"Swimming in this venue was a privilege as it's the same venue that hosted the 2022  Australian Nationals along with other great swimming competitions such as the Commonwealth games trials and World Trials," said Mystiqrayne, who had only started competitive swimming in 2021.

"I was up against competitors from around Australia who are undoubtedly some of the best swimming proteges."

Mystiqrayne and a few of the other Kings Pimpama swimmers are heading to the  2-day Gold Coast Championships event on the 30 - 31 July. We wish them all the best at this event.

Mystiqrayne has also qualified for the Australian Country Championships taking place in Darwin later this year.  She is dedicated to her daily training and has her eyes set on her future swimming goals.

Well done Mystiqrayne!
