Term 3's Day of Hope

Chaplaincy

Compassion can be a catalyst for changing the world by impacting the lives of others. When we see others suffering, compassion compels us to help. King's held a DAY OF HOPE in Term 3, in both our Primary and High School communities as we cultivated compassion for children in Uganda, who are orphaned or abandoned and need our support. King’s missions partner, 100% hOPE, creates a brighter future for many children at Hope Village in Uganda, where they provide a safe home, medical clinic and school. Wearing the colours of 100% hOPE or the Ugandan flag, our Primary community enjoyed a free t-shirt day and the chance to purchase food from our Life Canteen, to raise funds for this incredible charity. Thanks to our Year 6 Life Team Leaders, mentored by Year 10 students, who ran the Life Canteen and have been working throughout the year to serve our community through our missions programs. Our High School students also held a fundraising BBQ lunch for 100% Hope.

As we regularly practise our Foundational Values at King's and faithfully show love and compassion for people in need, we can change the world for good. Thank you King’s for helping us raise $5,131 for 100% hOPE!
