Unleashing Personal Potential STEP UP Program for Year 9 Students

Pimpama

On Thursday 16 June, Unleashing Personal Potential (UPP) will come to our campus to run their STEP UP program with the Year 9 students.

STEP UP has been designed to help students become their best. Through STEP UP, students are enabled to build a solid foundation for their success.

This process seeks to help students:

  • develop an understanding of growth mindsets and neuroplasticity by understanding what barriers they have that may be holding them back;

  • use evidence-based practices for setting goals

  • develop healthy habits; and,

  • establish and nurture healthy relationships.

The program is a highly interactive, hands-on activities evidence-based program. The dynamic team of young Christian presenters keep the students responding and interacting throughout the whole day. All your child will need to bring for the program is a pen or pencil to write with.

The program will run for the whole day from 8.40 - 3.15, after which we invite you and your child to visit the mini careers fair that will be held in the high school until 4 pm. There will be a coffee cart available for you to purchase a coffee to enjoy while walking around the venue. You can talk to the tertiary providers about post-school options to enhance the career investigation your child has started in their Set For Success lessons this term.
