Wild Things Intrigue Students At King's

Primary

In the last week of Term 2, our Year 5 students invited the King's community to view the tjanpi-inspired animals they had created in their Art lessons throughout the term. Their exhibition entitled Where the Wild Things Are depicted their handcrafted animals residing in their natural habitat, and the Year 5s gave regular guided tours to share what they had learned throughout the creative process.

Noah’s Ark students were invited to the exhibit as special guests, and they were all very excited to be given a tour and taught how to make tjanpi animals by the Year 5 students. At the conclusion of their excursion, they were each gifted with a small tjanpi animal to keep. It was definitely a highlight for the Year 5s and Noah's Ark students as they celebrated a great term's work!
