World Vision 40 Hour Famine News

Pimpama

For over 40 years Australians have been putting their money where their mouth is and going without raising money for the 40 Hour Famine.

Twenty of our King's Pimpama High Schoolers, for the first time in 2022, got involved with this amazing initiative that commenced back in 1975.  Singers and sisters Kylie and Dani Minogue, have participated in the 40 Hour Famine and more than half of Australian schools have also participated in this positive social activism over the past 47 years.

King's Pimpama students choose to give up their phones for 40 hours in order to raise awareness and money that goes to breaking the cycle of poverty.  Hunger and malnutrition are the world’s number one health risk.  Our students raised $2,000 for this worthy cause.  Australia as a nation has raised over $200 million since its inception for World Vision.

Coffee and hot chocolate concluded the event and to thank the students for their participation.
