Year 12's Final Festivities

Secondary

This week has been a bittersweet one for our Year 12s whose King’s journey is abruptly coming to an end. Throughout Week 2, that surreal ‘finishing’ feeling became more of a reality as they attended their final school assembly and last King’s chapel, enjoyed their final Mission fundraising lunch and planted their commemorative Year 12 tree – a much-loved College tradition. During their chapel service, Mr Brendon Blakemore [King’s Board Chairman] shared some parting words of wisdom and encouraged the cohort to fulfil their God-given purpose. Every student has been uniquely made for ‘such a time as this’ (Esther 4:14) and as a College, we will continue to pray for our Year 12s as they put their best into their final exams in the weeks ahead. We wish our Class of 2021 every success and blessing as they finish their King's journey well, and move into all that God has called them to do.
