Year 12s Learn Business Lessons from Dreamworld

Secondary

Earlier this month, our Year 12 Business students attended an excursion to Dreamworld as a part of the research process for their upcoming assessment. The class had been studying how businesses in the 'post-maturity phase' of the life cycle find strategies to reposition themselves and find further success for their stakeholders. Dreamworld was used as the case study for their assessment and students attended presentations with Dreamworld staff regarding repositioning strategies they have had to implement. Students were fascinated by the honest data that they were given, the interesting presentation, the opportunity to explore the park and the unique strategies Dreamworld is using to reinvent itself. Our students and teachers had a fun day of learning and enjoyed adventuring beyond the classroom to engage with a real-world scenario.
