Year 3's Bird's Eye View of Earth

On Tuesday of Week 1, our Year 3 students got a glimpse of their new topic for Term 3 entitled 'Earth - Third planet from the sun.' The exciting introduction involved using King's drone to look at the earth from a bird's eye view. And for added fun, the students worked together to apply distance perspective and spell out the word EARTH on the Oval, which the drone photographed so they could see their efforts afterwards. The classes also talked about the different views of Earth from space, from a hot air balloon, from a plane and from a rocket. The fun outdoor activity certainly sparked the earthling's interest in learning about God's amazing creation this term.
