Year 4 Instrumental Music Program

Pimpama

The Year 4 students have been busy learning new skills on their Orchestral instruments.

Each week the students have a small group lesson on their instrument before getting together in the larger instrument-based ensemble groups called ‘Sectionals’. Instrument groups include Upper Strings (Violin and Viola), Cello, Flute, Woodwind (Clarinet and Saxophone), Brass (Trumpet and Trombone) and Percussion. In Term 2, these groups will come together to form two large ensembles of Strings and Band.

Studies have shown that learning a musical instrument enhances academic, social and emotional outcomes for children.

We are very excited about these learning opportunities for the students and look forward to their progress over the year. At King’s, we create opportunities to use our gifts and talents to glorify our Lord.
