Year 5's Sensational Science Fair

Primary

This term, our budding Year 5 scientists were kept busy planning, hypothesising and conducting science experiments. They were tasked with creating a scientific investigation designed to benefit the community. The students posed their own ‘driving questions’ with interesting topics such as Can canines improve our mental health? Does exercise change your mood? How can different liquids affect plant growth? Which surfaces have the highest levels of bacteria?... and many more! Over the past few weeks, they worked to display their findings in an engaging way for the Year 5 Science Fair, which took place on Tuesday, 7 September. The breezeway precinct came alive for the Fair as our enthusiastic scientists shared their interesting research with our College community. Special guests included Pre Prep - Year 4 students, as well as teachers, Mrs Payne, and many Year 5 parents. This year's Science Fair judges were impressed with the exceptional quality of all exhibits and were very pleased to see how our students had developed and showcased their scientific inquiry skills.
