Year 6 Cairns Trip 2023

Pimpama

The Year 6 Cairns trip was an unforgettable adventure from the moment the students boarded the plane. They experienced many adventures from thrilling high ropes challenges to feeding crocodiles. The highlight of the trip was the visit to the Great Barrier Reef, where students snorkelled alongside vibrant corals. In the evenings, the devotions encouraged students to shed negative labels and reflect on defining moments in their lives.

Here are what some students said about the camp:

Phoebe Colefax - My favourite part was spending time with friends, and making new ones and of course the spectacular Great Barrier Reef.

Wenyang Luo - One of my favourite activities in Cairns was snorkelling in the Great Barrier Reef. We got to swim beside unique marine organisms and coral, eat delicious food and learn all about the spectacular creatures that live in the Great Barrier Reef.

Emma Arango - The Year 6 Cairns trip was a wonderful experience, empowering my classmates and myself spiritually and culturally. We are all grateful Kings offered such a grand opportunity.

Cooper Miller - My favourite part about Cairns is when we went to the rainforest station cause we got to throw boomerangs and paint them too and it was really fun.

Ava McCabe - Snorkeling was the experience of a lifetime, I will never forget it

Tian Smit - I enjoyed Cairns because of the high ropes. I loved all the birds and the activities.
