Sport Development Program
Get a headstart in the diverse industry of sport with KTTC's new Sport Development Program - designed for Year 11 and Year 12 sport enthusiasts. The two-year program for Year 11 students provides a custom designed learning pathway with hands-on practical experience in the sport industry, an ATAR equivalent university entrance option, and employable skills at the end of Year 12.
Through an engaging blend of certificate and diploma qualifications, hands-on sport experiences and collaboration with industry experts, students will engage in dynamic and transformative senior schooling. Graduating students will be eligible for a Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) and will have the skills and qualifications to commence work or undertake additional tertiary studies through direct entry to Gold Coast universities.

Program Overview
- Paid Sport Coaching Traineeship, during school hours, over Years 11 and 12 (approx $200/fortnight for 2 years)
- Diploma of Sport*
- Diploma of Leadership & Management*
- Sporting qualifications in Coaching, Fitness and Outdoor Recreation
- QCE Certificate
- Learning pathway custom designed to provide students with hands-on practical experience in the sport industry providing employable skills at the conclusion of Year 12.
*Diploma qualifications provide students with up to 87 ATAR equivalent and direct entrance to university. Universities may also offer prior learning credits towards Bachelor degrees.
