The Role
As Head of Teaching & Learning, you will be a key member of the Middle Management Leadership team, driving strategic, evidence‑based excellence in teaching and learning at the Logan Village campus.
Key Responsibilities:
• Vision & Strategy: Contribute to, and support, the College’s Strategic Plan; research, design, implement, and evaluate innovative curriculum and pedagogy across the Primary and High School, aligned with a Biblical worldview.
• Leadership: Inspire and support teaching staff; foster a culture of continuous professional development, mentoring, coaching, and reflective practice. Work collaboratively with the curriculum leaders in the Primary and High School.
• Data & Outcomes: Set high expectations and use data to record progress, and evaluate interventions to ensure academic excellence;
• Operational Oversight: Assist with timetable creation, calendar planning, budget management, resource ordering, assessment coordination (NAPLAN, QCAA, internal), subject selection, and learning management systems.
• Community Engagement: Communicate clearly and professionally with parents, students, and staff; present at assemblies and events; support the College through regular newsletter articles, parent communication through the portal and promotional efforts.
• Christian Leadership: Model Christ-like character in all areas of leadership—demonstrating integrity, humility and compassion.
This role includes a High School teaching load and reports to the Head of Secondary and Head of Primary. The Head of Teaching and Learning will also work closely with the Campus Principal to achieve our aim of academic excellence.

• A committed Christian, active in church life, who models Gospel-saturated leadership in word and deed.
• A registered and experienced teacher with strong strategic insight, innovation in pedagogical practice, and evidence-based decision-making.
• A transformational leader with excellent emotional intelligence, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills; capable of mentoring, inspiring and supporting a team culture of high expectations.
• A curriculum visionary, with proven experience leading NAPLAN, and QCAA.
• A systems thinker, skilled in coordination and administration of teaching & learning logistics, including timetables, reporting, resource budgets, cross-campus initiatives, and parent/student communications

- at least 1 referee who can attest to your suitability to work within the values and culture of an expanding Christian school (preferably from a pastor or minister).

Our PIMPAMA CAMPUS (on the northern end of the Gold Coast) currently has over 1500 students on-site, from Early Learning to Year 12.
King’s LOGAN VILLAGE CAMPUS (in south-west Logan) offers places for students from Early Learning through to High School.
