Creative by Design
Launched in 2006, King’s annual ‘Creative by Design’ festival is a favourite primary school event. For four days in Term 3, the entire Primary School departs from its regular teaching program to focus specifically on creative and artistic disciplines as an expression of the heart of God and His purpose for their lives.
The week is structured like a mini-conference with both large and small group sessions to engage and make a lasting impact on young lives.
Activities include art, coding, music, construction, dance, physical challenges, chess and more. Highlights include the vibrant ‘Colour Run’ and ‘King’s Has Talent' competition.
Creative by Design helps students uncover their unique gifts and potential passions through experiences in a wider range of curriculum areas. Many students (and teachers) describe Creative by Design as their ‘favourite week of the year’, benefiting from the adjusted schedule and creative focus.
